Ancestry won't throw up anything. a) its bmd stop at 1910 and then start again after 1984. b) no census is available after 1901. You would need to check the GRO indexes to find his birth, marriage and death, and assuming he stayed in the same area, possibly info in electoral rolls, though without an address this would be hard to find. Have you got any idea what he was doing during WW2 - possibly his war records will have some information of use, but you do have to pay and wait for them. nell |

I am trying to locate details of a Ambrose Alexander, born 05/03/1915 in Northumberland - possibly Jarrow. He married a Winifred Ramsay Hall and later died in 1975. Can anyone find any trace of him, ancestry is throwing up nothing |
