That's called a doggie hangover.............Hubby once thought it would be clever to let our pointer have a tiny measure of Baileys (really tiny!!) You would have thought she had drunk the whole bottle the next day!! Thanks for the offer to swop socks, but mine are stuck fast.....think Crone must have used them to wipe out the bath or something?? I think if you were to sit, sockless, with your legs out of the back door and wait for it to snow.....that should do the trick for your poor swollen legs........ Merry |

That is just so kind - guess what , not sure how he found me, but santa brougt me a very tasteful pair of my own! Turquoise , orange and lime green stripes...Lovely! Want to swap? Not that i can get any socks on at all at the moment - my poor feet are sooooo swollen, tried rubbing them with the Kumquat syrup but hat has just made them sticky! bit worried about Bobbin - she keeps standing up, wanding round in circles then laying down again with a sigh~ thought sh emight have gone for a bound along the beach by now, but she seems a bit wobbly |

have arrived at last. tis a long way from up over the border. met some strange folk along the way. glimpsed the 3 tier roof box wizzing along. my trolley has wonkey wheels so kept going round in circles. not helped by ending up on the magic roundabout at swindon. hope there is some punch left in the bath. am parched and a bit mucky, so can bathe in it too to add and extra umph to it. didnt see oc on my way down, any idea where she got too. the thought of me eating honky sprouts is enough to make anyone go awol. i wouldnt walk with me if i had the choice. brought xmas pressies for all, small pic frames from crackers., bottle opener (essential) yoyo, endless fun. pencils and paper from cracker. small enough to tuck into the g strings, bouncy balls, half sucked mint imperials, and crusty anniseed balls. all the meat flavour crisps from my cupboard as no one likes them, and some biscuit crumbs. (had to feed the pigeons guiding the way). Am knackerd now, will visit the little girls room and attend to the neccessary tena ladys and will have to set off home before the snow hits. Any supplies left for me. Have a great new year all. good wishes and god bless. |

You too look fantastic......! I found two pairs of those stripy socks with separate toes..........They are pretty uncomfortable....would you like to try the other pair? Caught Bobbin finishing off the kumquats.....I think we should be VERY careful about when we set off for home......... Merry |

Meery You looks absolutley wonderful ~ orange bri nylon takes me back a bit~ i had orange brushed nylon sheets many years ago and when you turned over in bed everything crackled with static. I've found a lovey Maroon belted trousers suit in here too, and the nylon maroon and cream blouse to match .Ohhhhhhhhh look at that collar |

Just been looking in Olde Crone's freezer.....a revelation in itself..... Earlier I found a packet of turkey curry dated New Year 1999, so thought we should defrost it for lunch.........Tasted it a few mins ago and realised it calls for something sweet in it, so have added the last of the Eat-Me dates, but forgot to take the stones out first, so watch your dentures.......... O caught Bobbin doing the washing up of the Baileys glasses earlier....she definitely partial to the flavour and yes, here eyes are bloodshot (as are mine), but I'm sure she will get over it....... Just been trying on some of Olde Crone's clothes..........do you think this orange bri-nylon shirt and brown crimpoline (sp?) trousers look good over my combinations? Merry |

I think we should hang about today - you obviously dont feel up to driving Merry , and i certainly dont. Wonder where Marj is , its very odd, still it was kind of her to leave to barbie ready and the bath full of punch. I hadn't realised Bobbin was quite so partial to Bayleys until yesterday |

We only have what Crone left when she vanished......a bathful of punch that she had only taken the one bath in (she said by mistake...)....Most of it has gone now, so I would have thought Babycham and brandy (with kumquats and fruitfly) would be just the thing to keep the (non) party going?? Bobbin has overdosed on Baileys and is now asleep in the corner of Olde Crone's best feather bedstead......I can guarantee she will have bloodshot eyes in the morning (Bobbin, not Crone) - Well, probably Crone too, esp if she has been in some five star establishment whilst we have been at her home............ Time for some shuteye.....I'm with Bobbin!! Merry |

Oh Kath, Babycham, yes please. Anyone got some brandy to go with it? Well, having stuffed myself silly on overripe kumquats and black sausages, I thought a snooze would be just the thing. Had the most awful nightmare. Dreamed I had gone off with hubby and family to hubby's cousin for c-mas lunch, and returned with sister-in-law, who talked complete garbage solidly all through the meal, complained all the way back in the car about how cramped she was (5 adults in a standard saloon - cosy but not impossible), and stank to high heaven because she seems yet again to have overlooked the tenas. I was just shooing her upstairs to take a bath when the aroma competely overcame me and I woke up to find that it is in fact the latrines and Merry's combinations that are causing the smell. Dear me, I wonder what Boxing Day has in store. Good thing I retrieved the fleecy lining from my box - I shall just roll myself up in it and kip under this bush. See you in the morning ladies. Tina |

As my brother is excluded from your gathering ( on the grounds of his sex................but let us say no more about that ), he has asked me if I would like to go along. I have managed to find some turbo charged tassles and one of those extra - wide G-strings ( I am prone to a chill wind ) and I am making haste to be with you. I have arranged for me to be delivered to Crone's doorstep in a cardboard C mas cake from which I hope to propel myself to surprise you all ( and BOY, are you in for a surprise ). I shall be bringing with me such delectable delights as ; a 1989 bottle of Babycham a bottle of Moet and Chandon....... marked 'Controlee Negative' a pack of Eat Me dates from 1999 ( they mature with age ) and............. for the more delicate amongst us....... one of those long Bay City Roller scarfs, that should keep several of us warm throughout those long Cornish nights. My stretched white limo should be there by 11' so I look forward to meeting the rest of you.......................... by whichever method you can afford to arrive in.... All my love Kuddly Kath xxxxxxxxxx |

Jess, I expect you are allergic to the kumquats.....pretty potant stuff...............suggest you massage in some of the blueberry muffin flavoured moisturiser someone brought.....guaranteed to turn a red rash blue any day.......... This must be the right house, as no one else bathes in punch, to my knowledge? She all we put the barbie out now? I'm stuffed.....no need to eat again until tommorrow. I looked under the stairs and found C-mas puddings marked 1958, 1959 and 1964, so if we should get peckish.........anyone got the out of date custard tin? Merry |

Merry...as you were almost overcome by the aroma of the sprout soup and bath punch...perhaps poor Olde Crone has passed out with the prolonged pong and is laying comatose somewhere. I shall look around the garden and see if I can find her...she may be in a coma in the cabbage patch. Beryl x |
