Macbev.....yes all Beryl's must stick together...nice to have a new pal. Beryl, best pal to Beverley x |

Look, you lot, I'm FREEZING down here. I've read the weather reports and I know. All my exposed bits are the same shade as my puce knickers and I have goosebumps on my goosebumps. Isn't ANYONE going my way? I'll settle for London, although my son isn't exactly expecting me. Drop me off in Earl's Court -I don't mind walking the rest of the way. Beverley, jogging round the A30 roundabout to keep warm. PS Thanks again for the pink cardy, Beryl. You're a life saver |

For those of us still at Crone's abode in St Erth, the nearer of the two LDS centres is at St Austel - thirty odd miles, whilst the Helston one is over 50 miles....... So this evening, given that OC hasn't turned up anywhere behind a hedge or partying at a neighbours or with her daughter, we shall set off for St Austel LDS centre. There is room for 7 in the top roof box and one sitting on the generator (for Jess's hair straighteners and the kettle) behind me on the commode. Takers for places so far: 1) Me 2) Jess 3) Bobbin 4) 5) 6) 7) 8) 9) Tickets are FREE!! More useful items for the rescue attempt: teabags coffee milk biscuits Marj's Brown Owl outfit (she never told us about THAT did she?? dib, dib, dib) pogo stick fake SAS badges Merry |

Merry, I'll go anywhere to get out of this cold. Can you pick me up at the roundabout? (frantically consulting the AA Road Atlas). I seem to be on the roundabout leading towards St Ives, but it doesn't look all THAT far from St Erth. A panda car has gone around this roundabout 3 times now and I didn't like the way the bobbies were looking at me. My passport's only 2 years out of date, but surely a son in London, and qualifications to become an Irish citizen should count for SOMETHING. I'd just rather not risk it, so if you can squeeze me in, i'll be eternally grateful. Beverley with her knickers in a twist |

Merry count me in too. I have found this huge white blanket we can throw it over ourselves when we are travelling. If anybody should see us they will just think we are a snowdrift ... drifting along in the breeze. We must try to allay suspicion at all costs. See you when darkness decends. SAS. Motto.......SHE who dares....wins. Over and out. Beryl x |

Jess, so glad that you feel well enough to advise and direct . It's a good job you can read a map for I would end up in Bradford. Here is a shocking pink crocheted cardy...it should keep you quite warm. Olde Crone must have purchased a 'job lot' of that shocking pink wool as I found a bagfull of croched cardies in her wardrobe there are enough to go around. The colour does suit you. See you later. Over and out. Beryl x |

Beryl, you DO sound professional! Jess, maybe with your stiff legs you will need to travel sitting behind me on the generator - much less cramped and nich and warm. We can bring a cushion and I found a fleecy jump-suit in Crone's wardrobe, which looks about your size............ More items: cushion silicone spray for Jess's zip Merry |

Boy, am I glad to see you lot. I'm so tired I was about to curl up in the snow. Great cardy, Jess - I like your taste. Do you mind if i just squeeze in upstairs to thaw out. I promise not to snore, but I just have to shut my eyes for a bit. Wake me when the action starts. Now - where did I put that Swiss Army Pocket Knife. There's a hip flask tucked in amongst my Afghan, if you want to share it around -it's full of Merry Widow liqueur. Bev, coming in from the cold. |

Merry Count me in for tonight's incredible journey as well. I'm sick of travelling by box. I was going to request the generator seat on the basis that it should be the warmest, but Jess's need is greater than mine - can I have the seat next door to it? Jess, don't worry about my BO, have found some very elderly perfume in back of wardrobe. It does seem to have gone rather thick and sticky down the years (I'm sure it was fluid when I first got it), but I shall break the bottle and smear the brown gunge over myself so I should smell absolutely lovely! Merry, slight oversight on my part, have forgotten to get in a stock of silver lame keep-warm suits, but have several rolls of turkey foil. Will those do? We could stitch suits from them with your darning needles and wool. Tina |

the seat above the generator and the pink cardi are definatley doing the trick, being able to grasp the map is good, which way up it needs to be is debatable! Tina-dont worry about the smell- i daren't try and evee get in the shower for fear that i wont get out again , so we'll just whiff together ~kinda bad smell competition, will enusure the others dont sit too close anyway! so i think we should, after giving it a little consideration, set off in >>>>> that direction. What time are we off? 20.00? someone might have to hang on to me so i dont fall off, i'm a bit wobbly Jess x |

(Yawn....stretch...cough...cough...coughcoughcoughCOUGHcoughcough...scratch...) Oooh, where am I? Whatever time is it? I just closed my eyes for five minutes, must have nodded off....what are all these coats doing on top of me? Better get a move on, they'll all be here in a minute. Hang on...where's all the punch gone? And why does my lawn look like the Ploughing Trials? And what's that awful smell, sort of burnt Tena Lady? WHAT did my neighbour just shout? I havent missed it, have I? |

I'm so glad Olde Crone is found....what a very good idea.....sleep right through the festive season. Comfortably cocooned under a pile of coats. I might try that next year. Sorry Olde Crone....we have taken many liberties going through your wardrobe and making such a mess in your house and garden. Our intentions were good though. Here let me start putting things back in order....I'll start in the bedroom. Beryl x |
