Yvonne, There are these two marriages on Ancestry:- Name: Millership, Samuel Thomas Record Type: Marriages Quarter: September Year: 1884 District: Toxteth Park County: Lancashire Volume: 8b Page: 430 and Name: Millership, Samuel Thomas Record Type: Marriages Quarter: June Year: 1891 District: Toxteth Park County: Lancashire Volume: 8b Page: 407 Kath. x

Hi Jess Dont know if you can help me but Im baffled! My great grandfather Samuel T Millership b1863, now I have a marriage certificate saying he married my great grandmother in 1893, and on the certificate it says he is aged 27 and Widower, and she is a spinster. Ive looked on the 1891 census and he is a lodger at 44 Miller street, Toxteth Liverpool, and on the 1881 census he is a son. How can I find out who is previous wife was? does this mean he married between 1891 and 1893 and no record of his first wife? (if you get what I mean). Any help would be most appreciated. I still think they are telling you there is someone else because it's the excuse they need to interview you. I expect page one of their instructions says, ''Interview All candidates'', but they only have one, which makes them look stupid! I didn't think you were worried about the qualification, but worried about your employers intentions.......the good thing is, employers always lie, so they have lied about the number of candidates!! merry

Merry -its not getting the qualificaion that bothers me- without sounding pig headed in can do the NVQ with both hands tied behind my back with a pencil stub clenched between my Buttocks - its convincing them to put me in for it - when i feel they are putting up so many barriers and going thru all this rigmarole! If it was a case of just doing it - why not just ask me to do it? they did - i said yes,then they said apply and we'll decide!
