jess, laindon hills is langdon hills. louisdon could possibly be basildon which is 2 miles from laindon/langdon. all the places you have listed on this thread are within a 6 mile radius of langdon hills.' apart from fulham, thats confusing. little berry farm still exists.,and is in langdon hills. good luck with your search, jane.

1861 census does not have a likely Arthur Wiggins. 1871 does have this chap Arthur Wiggins abt 1858 Laindon Hills, Essex, England Son East Tilbury Essex the actual image does not look like Langdon or Laindon, more like Louisdon. 1881 also has Laindon Hills, but Arthur is definitely in Orsett, which makes me think the birth ref we have all found is right.
