Hi Everyone, I have the London section ( 3cd's ) of ww1 National Roll, it gives names, addresses and when the person enlisted and where they served (at home or abroad) if anyone would like me to look-up for them just tell me the name and which part of London they lived. There isnt many from the East End but lots from the north, west and south london. ( my ancestors came from the east end and they are not listed but its worth a try ) Madeline

Thank you Madeline for your kind offer. Please could you try and find William Thomas Goodenough, born 1875 Bermondsey. On 1901 Census the family was living in Egham, Berkshire. Please forgive me ignorance but hoping this is part of London. I think he could have changed his name from William Goodenough to Thomas Goodnough as on 1901 census. William Thomas Goodenough would have been approximately 30 years old by WW1 so I do not know if he was too old to join at the time, (although his brother-in-law was the same age and died serving in WW1) Thank you once again and hope it is not too much trouble to find. Elizabeth

Could you please look up Reginald Hugh Bristow? He lived in Kingsland, which may be described as Hackney or Islington. Anyway, he was the only Reginald Hugh Bristow around. He was in the A.S.C., the Essex Regiment, the Labour Corps and the East Surrey Regiment, but I'm not sure what order he served in these regiments. Thanks very much for the offer! Kate.
