New Ancestry bmd - spelling

I've just been looking for someone on here and have seen that the transcribers have made a few extra problems for us to contend with. I saw pages of HOLROYD transcribed as HOBROYD because the way that the r is joined after the l (handwriting) could be seen as a b though to my eyes it obviously is not. IT'S WORTH KNOWING THAT: if you look for someone take into account the spelling differences that can occur in this way. Still a great service though... |
