DIANE You wont find any of the Dales on ENG and Wales 1841 census as they had emigrated to Tasmania before then. Have you looked on IGI for their baptisms? Anything pre1837 is really difficult to find unless you have access to parish records. You could google parish registers and see if you can find the appropriate one as some have been put online. Sorry I cant be of more help Kat

Kat Please can you have a look at the 1841 census for Wiveliscombe Somerset and see if you can find a John Chorley born abt 1789 in Wiveliscombe. I guess he is probably married but i dont know. The Chorley family did move from Wiveliscombe to Milverton, Somerset so he might be there. Thanks for your help Jane

Could you please look up the names John Dale born 1809 London England please i am having great difficulty i dont know his birthdate, it stated on his death cert London. He was in Tasmania married by 1841, stated seaman on marriage certificate. Other name is Elizabeth Ilett born 1813 and her sister Ann 1806 i think they were born in chatteris cambridge i am hoping they were as i have seen two names with those dates on the net. They left as assisted immigrants from England in Oct 1834. Thank you Dianne

Kat, I have an Ann Upton born 1831 Tiverton Devon. On her marriage cert in London she gives father as George Upton, licenced victualler deceased. I have found a George Upton marrying an Elizabeth Beare in Rewe in 1821. I wondered if George is shown as a licensed victualler in Tiverton in the 1841 please. I guess we are looking at an age of about 41. Many thanks.
