Slight delay there!! I forgot about this thread! When you say you can't find a birth for Martha Spencer 1877-1879, don't you mean Martha Smith?? and where was she born then, because there can't be anywhere that doesn't have a birth for a Martha Smith?!! Have you got them in 1901? Might he be recorded as Henry or Harold?? Merry |

Hi Liz Thanks very much, I really appreciate it. I had another try and whatever year I put as FROM, that is the only year I get too. I will e-mail them. Thanks again - Chrissie |

Chrissie, It would appear to be malfunctioning. I put the 10 years in, and got 5 for 1894 only. I then put 1895 (single year) and another 5 came up. I think you will have to email them, or search 1 year at a time which will be costly. Liz |

That's very kind of you Liz. I am looking for marriages between Smith and Spencer anywhere between 1894 and 1904. I haven't put in any first names because I am beginning to think that they may have got married under different names from the ones I knew. I thought that dozens would come up but that I might get an idea from christian names or location. I have searched for 3 years for Martha Smith and Harry Spencer marriage between 1894 and 1919 (when she died) but it doesn't exist so I am now trying other options. She was 41 when she died 28/3/1919 but I can find no birth for a Martha Spencer between 1877 and 1879. The first child that I know who was born to them was in 1904 but an older son, John Gilbert (who was brought up as theirs), I have now found out was born to Nora Spencer in Oct 1900. Bet your glad you asked LOL:)) and even more glad that they aren't yours:))))))))))))))))))) Chrissie |

I would say that yes, they should come up. I really don't mind using a couple of units if it will help... Liz |

Thanks Liz and Merry but that will cost you units. I just wanted to know if I was right in thinking that the whole 10 years worth should come up at once? |

Hi Merry - You didn't search for them for me, so if you searched for them for someone else I would love to know who :)) Is there another relly out there looking too lol:) I've been looking for nearly 3 years so if they know something I don't...........................:)) Hi Liz - I did the site tour before I started and the Marriage Match and Marriage Boost are mentioned on there. The only place I found it though is on the normal marriage search for the section up to 1920. You can add the spouse as well. Of course it also bring up 2 men or 2 women with the relavant surnames. These names sound VERY familiar....... I seem to think I laboroiusly did these searches on FreeBMD a couple of days ago! Or was that someone else?? What were the forenames? I realise FreeBMD may not be absolutely 100% complete, but at least it's free! Merry |

Don't think you can search both names in the way you are saying at that time frame. What Liz and Heather says above is right, as far as I know. Merry |
