Hi, We know he was born about 1849 ish.But when we phoned and asked Southport to do a search for us ,and send the cert they said they would do what they could. We phoned them yesterday and they carn't find a birth for him. My mum insists that there has to be. Helen |

Do you know if he had any brothers or sisters? You might be able to find a birth cert for one of them. |

Hi Merry, Sorry i didnt get to you earlier, had to go out. Charles cooke (cook/coock),had a brother William born about 1847 ish, in bridgewater , somerset. We know their father was called Eli, thats what was on Charles marriage cert in 1875. Helen |

Phoenix | Report | 24 Feb 2006 13:22 |
So... Have you found the family on the 1851 census? This hopefully would prove that father is Eli and show other siblings. |

Helen | Report | 24 Feb 2006 13:43 |
Hi Phoenix, I have found then on the 1851 census, and the 1861 but Charles and William are inthe workhouse, dont know where Eli is. Helen |
