Ive got the email from ancestry!!: We are constantly adding more resources for you and our database is growing all the time. The 1841 census with 16 million names will be available soon and you can be the first to view it. The 1841 census was the very first in the UK to contain names and will be a useful resource for you to take your family history search further.

Don't know if anyone has already mentioned this, but I've just had an email from Ancestry saying that the 1841 census will be online soon and asking me to 'click here' to be informed when it is on. I think I got a similar email from Ancestry about a fortnight before the 1851 census came online, so hopefully we won't have too long to wait. Kath. x
