Looking for info about James Heatherill (possibly from Edinburgh) who appears to have been on convict ship Andromeda c.1828, I found this site www(.)nas(.)gov(.)uk/guides/crime(.)asp which gives details of where you can find information about prisoners sentenced to be transported, including transportation registers on microfilm, indexed chronologically by date of departure of each ship.
