Jayne, it was only his body that was buried in the grave. HE isn't suffering from his problems anymore. I'm not religious but I do believe that. I can understand how upset you must be, he must have had a dreadful life, just as his family did. Susan |

Hi Susan, Thank you very much for your post and you're right it is only his body there. I'm going this weekend to try and find his grave so I can put some flowers on it. Jayne x |

Morning Olde Crone, I will ask at the crematorium when I go this weekend to see if they have one. What a wonderful idea. Jayne x |

Hi, I know how you feel. My grandmother was one of 12 children and some of them were alive when I was young. My grandma died before I was 1. Dad has lost contact with most of the family so I knew nothing about them. Looking at the dates now I assumed that the 12 were most likely dead, however I felt like I had been hit in the stomach when I accidently found her death on Ancestry. It was about a week later when I realised that I had been feeling depressed for a while and a few more days to realise that it was due to finding out my greataunt had died. You just need time to grieve even if you didn't know the person. I had only heard of my aunt I had never met her. The problem is others around you may not understand your feelings. Toni |

Oh Ann, thank you very much for that. I've just printed it off and will put it and the front of my 'family history file'. That was really thoughtful of you and a lovely poem to keep. Jayne x |
