WULLIAM I have sent you 3 images. 1 and 2 are the families you asked for. William is missing from Baxter family. 3rd image is of a William age 4 with a Francis Baxter in East Dereham. He probably belongs to Francis but Francis could be a brother?cousin? of Charles? Maybe, maybe not, but maybe useful!! Kat ps . I save email addys for future ref. :) |

Hi Kat - you helped me greatly a few days ago...can I bother you again!?! I'm looking for two 1841 Norfolk families: 1) William & Ann Rix with a daughter Sophia Hawes Rix. Ages 44, 45, 17 respectively. Other children Jane, Eliza, Alfred, Mary, Edwin. Almost certainly living in East Dereham. 2) Charles & Ann Baxter with daughter Rebecca. Ages c46, c36, c9 respectively. Other children are Hannah, Henry, Ann, William, Lydia, Martha. Probably living in Hingham - or maybe East Dereham or Beeston. I wonder if you're able to provide images again? - I would be most grateful if you can. If you have got rif of my email address i can pm it to you again - it starts with wacjac. Kind regards, William |

Kat I am most grateful to you. For although there is no sign of Ann, your time and Trojan efforts on my behalf have turned up other avenues with the first two names on your list. I shall pursue that elsewhere. One drambuie shandy with my compliments is on it's way down the line to you. Stay well my friend, Keith |

Thank you Kat, In 1841 they are next door neighbours to the Thomas Cooke the Ostler's family. I minutely studied the scan you sent me. Bonser was the Inn keeper. It was a perfect fit, Thomas marries the eldest daughter while working as an Ostler at the Inn. Since the scan, I have ordered the IGI film for the marriage for Thos & Alice, this will also have the Bapts. of the children, young Thomas, Wlliam, Alice & poss Ann. Also I have The marriage of Wiliam, poss.bro. to my Tom, the cert is ordered as is the eldest sons birth, both in the hope for a positive link. I may have overstepped my research hopes, but I have tracked this Wiliam & new family all the way to 1901. William was the only Cooke left in Remspstone in 1851 as a nephew, I have the sister Ann as a servant at Alkmund Derby same year. Check my message posted 24th Mar titled ....Does Rempstone know.... I was hoping to attract some interest to a theory! Best of wishes, Bob |

Hello my old friend. Could I ask you to have a look for Ann Houghton in the Stansted Mountfitchet area of Essex. She would have been about 73 at the time of the census. I think she would have been a widow by then but I would be interested to learn of anyone else who may have been in the household at the time. Keith |

VICTOR I really need more info to search , ages? Do you have these on the 1851 census? that would help. It is unlikely that I would find his parents without their ages or names and they are unlikely to be with Thomas and Mary who as marrieds probably wouldn't be living with them. I have searched Surrey and cannot find any Coules with wife Mary but they could be living in another county. Kat |
