William was born before July 1837 when civil registration started, unless of course they married after the children were born. Your best bet is a trip to the Local Records office and look up the parish records. Hi Kat, many thanks for the lookups in Norfolk. I emailed you direct to thank you for the images - perhaps you haven't had a chance to read or respond yet....but.... The Rix image was great but the file you labelled Baxter was not of the Baxters. The lookup I had asked for was: Charles & Ann Baxter with daughter Rebecca. Ages c46, c36, c9 respectively. Other children are Hannah, Henry, Ann, William, Lydia, Martha. Probably living in Hingham - or maybe East Dereham or Beeston. Thanks for looking. No I don't have any more details of William. I would guess the Kilmerston one as he was a coalminer. I have found his marriage reference so will have to wait for the certificate. I have another Cox brick wall. William born 1799 Pensford and family history on-line wanted £11 just to list William Cox born Somerset. best wishes Anne p.s.
