Dea What a brilliant idea. I am rushing out now to buy my first packet of cigarettes, so that I can then give up smoking and spend the money on certificates instead! Yes, at last a way to buy certs without spending any extra money. Brilliant! Tina |

O.K. - so my 'big decision' WAS a bit flawed but this one is O.K. Thanks to your suggestions I am going to spend the weekend looking for 10 certs - then on Sunday I am going to order them! After that, I am going to order one every week for as long as it takes to solve the majority of problems on my tree. That way, I should receive one every week and hopefully be so busy following up on all the leads I won't be glaring through the window at my poor postman. I have 3 on order at the moment which SHOULD arrive one day!, so they should keep me going until my first 10 arrive. As to the cost - I have decided to take up smoking - THEN I will give it up - The average smoker on a pack a day would, if they gave up, save enouugh money to buy 5 certs per week. - I am only going to buy one a week so therefore I will actually be saving 4 x £7 which is £28 per week No one (including my husband) can say that is extravagant can they? There is absolutely no way on this earth that I would be able to resist opening the whole lot. It would be like eating one scrummy chocolate from the box each week until they were all gone. |

Oh, and another one I just thought of - only 99 certs arrive, so you have to open them all to find out which one is missing! Kate. |

I wonder - all those people who work at the GRO office - do you suppose they get all their personal certs free as a perk of the job LOL !! I like your idea - I've often wished I could just order all of mine in one go but I have hundreds to get through. The most I've done in one go was 12 certs out of my bonus wages from work! Have calmed down since then and limit myself to no more than 5 per month now. Isn't it exciting when you come home from work, open the front door and see a big white envelope from the GRO lying on the floor! |

Well, you could keep it on a roll out where you order 10 certs and the day they arrive you order the next ten - open 2 certs a week and find out which ones you will need to order on the next go! This could keep you happy indefinately. Good luck! ;-D |

£364 - Think what else you could buy yourself with that money. I feel a bit ashamed to say I have 87 I have ordered on my file and that is not counting the wrong ones I have purchased........Oh dear £609 spent, glad Hubby is not reading this. Regards Irene |

And another flaw - in a year's time you open the final one - they've sent the wrong certificate! You contact them to complain and they say too late, can't do anything about it! Kate. |

I can spot a tiny weeny flaw in this..... Each certificate will only take you back one generation. Can you solemnly swear that you will wait a whole year before getting the next lot?! |
