Gerri, this is the title of Vals thread A BIG help needed please FTM how do I split files ??? I was also going to bed when I added the last message - too knackered to look for it a second time, thats why I just said its originated by Val. If you want to find topics originated by someone you can click on topic originator at the top of the page and then go to a particular name and trawl what they have left. If anyone wants to find a thread they can also enter all or part of a likely title in the search box at the top of the page. |

Yes it is possible, there is a thread somewhere on how to do it - though you could press your help button on the program to find out, sometimes its easier in lay terms! Ill see if I can nudge it up. |

Can anybody who uses FTM tell me if it is possible to send one part of the tree to another GR member, only the name they are linked to. They don't need all my family too or the fathers family . Using simple language if anyone can help please. Many thanks Regards Linda |

Hi Kathlyn I had mine from TWR computing but I think they may have changed their name. If you google familytreemaker...it's the first site on the list. It might be a good idea to google around though and see if you can get it cheaper. Heather |

Hi Gwen, I haven't used your programme so can't really comment as to whether familytreemaker is better......it just happened to be the one I found in the shop so I've stayed with it. There's a familytreemaker website if you'd like to see what it does at www.familytreemaker(.)com Heather |

If I bought this program would it be easy to transfer all my information across. At present it is in generations starter kit version 8 UK easy tree. Family tree maker sounds great and cheaper than the package I bought. Gwen |

Still bleedin looking through all the boxes piled up in my room (we are redecorating/plastering etc.). Im sure there was an extra cardboard flappy thing with something in. Ooops, just seen your message - wonder if mine is on there too? What do you use it for Babs - dont they have enough options for trees on the FT prog already? Its a good job weve got each other! |
