Valerie, Yes I can web search straight from FTM, merge info, make a web page, print various trees, and lots of other useful bits. The edition came with 90days subs to Ancestry World Tree and 30 days to UK collection but was already a member, just needed to register. It also had a disc data set of parish records for Eng, Wales etc which I haven't used yet. Opps, just read my origional message, I should have said 2005 edition, sorry typing error. Still.. its works for me! Can't afford to be fussy at my age! |

It arrived Sat morning from S&N, only a day after order placed. £25 45 incl postage. Question can we transfer from GR tree ie Gedcom onto FTM or do I have to add over 700 individually Thanks for any answers Regards Linda |

If you click on the tools and stuff at the top, you can go to some interesting bits about your family name, life expectancy, where the name originated, etc. |

Gawd guys, I dont know much at all! And I only realised today that you can edit the search so you dont end up with every entry in the world! There are some boxes at top right hand side where you can refine the records you actually want to be found for a particular person. |

Hi all The search edit thingy (technical term again) never seems to reduce the number of matches i get,and when i click on the next page it seems to 'forget' which records i want and gives me all the yanks social security stuff again. Many of my matches that i found through trawling (pre FTM purchase) are one and two star quality, any tips? FTM 2005 Deluxe (WDYTYA version) Glen |

Taken from another thread where I posted a reply to this, so it might help, ftm help please are there any short cuts when i do a search i dont want to go through all the births to find a marraige and death records regards In my version you can customize when doing a search, and you can just choose whatever you require. Choose person - search web - database - scroll down to customise - a pop up box appears - choose a collection - e.g.bmd - highlight an individual database and add. (England ones are from 151 onwards). click ok and box will close. Then search. You can also change the amount of star matches you want i.e. 4 star, 3 star etc. Thats under quality in the search window. Maureen |
