Hi Carole Glad I've been of help. Not sure about the time involved for getting certificates from the GRO, I've always been able to get them from the actual office. If you google freebmd and then do a search it will give you the birth that I found. Or you could try the address I've given below. West Derby I think comes under Liverpool The Cotton Exchange, Old Hall Street, Liverpool, L3 9UF. Tel: 0151 233 4973 or 4975. Fax: 0151 233 4944. Hi Cheryl......I have been looking for a needle in a haystack. Lots of wrong sightings.....to say the least. Folk have been very helpful.. but as yet still not found gt.grandad or grandad on the census's. Reason why !!!! The name is JONES. I have found an excellent match on the 1901 census here on Genes. But as yet dont have access to it at the moment. Would other sites have the same info.? 1901 census Genes . WILLIAM JONES...born in FLINT..CILCAIN.....1845. Census taken in TOXTETH PK. Liverpool. Williams occupation says STONEMASON. (Gt.Grandad ) Frederick Jones (Labourer) 1881c was their son ( my grandad) I'm hoping he will be still with them 1901..but unlikely as I cant find him either. But maybe the same William can be found on the 1891 census with son Frederick should be about 9/10yrs. I only have Freds marriage cert L.pool ..2 Feb 1903 age 22yrs His father is WILLIAM a STONEMASON. I know Fred married and lived in Toxteth all his life after marriage. On the 1891 it says that John was born in Burton Derbyshire but looks so out of place, there are two Burtons in Dorset, one by Dorchester just north of Weymouth and the other is by Christ Church next to Bournemouth it also says Sarah was born Weymouth Hampshire but its in Dorset. Hi Cheryl, This is the second one, I hope you don't mind. William Ketley born 1852 Good Easter, Essex. Parents James and Eliza both born 1818,Good Easter. Several other children, George, Lucy, Elizabeth, etc. Should be on 1861 and 1871. Left England in 1874. Have found the family on those census but not William. Thanks.

hi again He John Thomas Keen is down as a labourer on the marriage cert parents John Samuel keen and Elizabeth Keen her parenst were Henry Samuel Sigston and Frances Mackay Thomson who actually died in the same month and year 1869 thanks again

Can you find Charlotte Vallins in the 1891 census in Kent as I have found her in the 1881 and 1901 she may also be listed with George Vallins who was 16 in 1901 My Gt Gt Grandad. Thank you, Barbara
