How about asking for a search on S Holmes, of 221b Baker Street London, covering 1870 to 1920. That should sharpen their detective skills. |

I was just thinking (!!) - you know how apprentice painters and decorators are sent out for a tin of tartan paint and apprentice carpenters are sent out for a bubble for the spirit level etc etc...........Well, what would apprentice family history researchers be asked to do for a laugh (at their expense)!!?? ......I'm going to bed now, but expect to see a lot of witty replies in the morning...........................or else!! Happy Hunting - Merry x |
