Long shot I know but I have a Frank Crisp born 1915 Durham, travelled around alot and was an Author of Childrens books-would be grateful if you could see if there is any reference to a Frank Crisp, his wife was Margaret (Peggy) even a card from him would mean such a lot. Thanks Jennifer. |

The Gazette (Colchester) does a feature for 'Essex Roots' maybe the Echo does the same feature as they are both on the thisisessex website. Jo |

i dunno...would anyone be interested, i mean im suprised the local rag were. At the end of the day its not that old. I really just want to find a home for it and know that its the right crisp family, and not just some other crisp that fancies having it |

Oh my goodness! I just called the local rag (Evening Echo), they m#were most interested, they have taken my details and are sending a reporter and a photographer at 1pm on Sunday.....I NEED MY HAIR CUT..anyone a hairdresser?? LOL |

sadly nothing yet, if she doesnt contact me today, i will call her again this evening, Eunice also had a good idea of contacting a local paper, see if they would put something in there that we are looking for this family for return of these items |

I have lived here for about 8 years, never owned a car so no real use for the garage. It was filled with junk when I moved in and I started clearing it but never finished. I found it looking for a hammer lol. I moved some wood and saw a photo behind it, and my family tree hunting brain kicked in wondering who it was as i didn't recognise them, On moving that photo, there was another and another. So I moved all the wood and there was this beaten up old brown suitcase ;0) |

No real news yet, the woman called me back but her grand daughter cant call me until tomorrow as she is away and she didnt know. She has looked thru some family papers and she has a david and an angel who are brother and sister, but for the life of her she cant remember their dads name. So i will have to wait until tomorrow. I called the remaining crisps from the phonebook and no matches for family members, i REALLY hope it is this lady, she sounds so nice and excited |
