1867, Its the first letter i cant make out really

can we trace the marriage to help us?

What are the rest of the letters? Whats dads name? Who is the eldest of the children - dob Or can you scan the image?

I have had look for the marriage but cant find one Its for a William Rancombe and an Ellen something arcombe I think? As far as I know this is the eldest child, its William John Rancombe 13th May 1867. I do have a scan done.

where are we looking for them to have married ? where was sonny jim born? Somerset?

The child was born in the sub district of Lyncombe and Widcombe, Bath , Somerset on the 13th May 1867 and according to the 1871 census he appears to be the eldest child. The family are living at Hinton Charter House, Somerset in 1871

Thanks for the scan....I wonder if the registrar was having a funny five minutes? The name looks like formerly Da?combe....all the letters except the ? seem very clear.....but even though she says she was born in Hinton Charterhouse in 1871 and 1881, I can't see her before the marriage. Hmmm......still thinking.... Merry
