It says he is a bachalor on the certificate but couldn't he have lied maybe or as you say his mum had an affair with a soldier |

hiya, i think that means that joe was a batchelor, frances spinster, i would ring the GRO and query it if i were you, not much use if you cant read it, how can they expect to go back further?? if you cant read it, julie |

Cheryl thank you that area is on the certfificate Just been on to GRO and they will check certificate to see they can give me father's first name and the witnesses names also |
