	Library and Archives Canada now has a database for patents in Canada between the years 1869-1894 (patents submitted by Canadian citizens and residents). I found two of my ancestors had submitted things -- perhaps this site may help someone else. http://wwwcollectionscanadaca/archivianet/patents/index-e.html (replace * with .)
