Do you have any death registrations in your tree Q4 1878, Woolwich?? On 3rd Sept 1878 a pleasure cruiser, ''Princess Alice'' was sunk in the Thames with the loss of nearly 500 lives. Most of the deaths were registered at Woolwich, though some bodies were washed up elsewhere. PLEASE NOTE - Registrations were in Q4, not Q3 1878....... Merry x |
