Who would like a real census challenge?

I have been given a box of bits and pieces which came from the house of my great grandmother and included are about a dozen memorial cards most of which have proved to be members of the family. However there is a memorial card for Heinrick Puckbauer and one for Elizabeth Pookbower and I am trying to work out whether they are connected with the family at all. Heinrick died on 12 April 1886 and in the Death Index 2nd Quarter 1886 there is a Henry Pookbower. Elizabeth died on 20 April 1886 and her death is recorded in the same quarter. I have received her death certificate and she is stated as being the wife of Henry Pookbower, gas stoker. The informant was E Pookbower, daughter. I have found a marriage on freebmd 1866 4th Quarter for Heinrich Puchbauer. I have also found on the 1868 Death Index the death of Auguste Puchbauer, age 0, Kensington 1a, 134 and Henry Puchbauer, age 2, Kensington 1a, 130. The problem is that I can’t find anything on any of the census for anything remotely like that name and I would really appreciate it if someone else could have a go in case I have missed something obvious. Thanks for reading. Marion |
