You're all wonderful, clever, beautiful people, may eternal sunshine & happiness be yours!! Sarah :-)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) I've got them all on other census - Yesterday Jess found them transcribed as BALAY instead of Baker on 1891

Merry

Merry Report 28 May 2006 22:16

In theory (lol) all of them should be on the 1891 too! Merry

Using thet links-comparison method, you can see that the daughters go together, but not that they go with the parents. Well done, Merry! Christine

I just checked which Bakers in Wisbech were on the piece 1555 folio 22 and page 2. Merry

oh (head comes up again, light bulb starts flashing above it) Thanks Christine, you've given me a good idea (walks of determinedly, with a certain renewed aura of hope) Sarah :-) UPDATE: Merry, you're WONDERFUL, you know that don't you?! - he's been bugging me all week, & now I can put him to bed with his family... THANK YOU THANK YOU (sorry, didn't mean to shout!) Sarah :-)

OK Merry, I guess you've had it with my vet too... (hangs head & skulks off sadly) never mind... (turns back in case someone takes pity..) SOD FLIPPIN' MILES FLIPPIN' BAKER & HIS MOTLEY CREW!

You can deduce quite a bit from the old 1901 site. This is the most likely wife (the links on the old site have adjacent numbers): Harriet 1857 Norfolk Buxton Isle Of Ely Wisbech St Peter Christine PS - tried looking through the other BAKERs in Wisbech, and none of the rest has a very similar link-code.

Yes Jools (have you been on here all day?!) that's him! & yes Christine, I'd like the rest of the family... I guess if no one has a spare credit then I'll just have to go for it.... Sarah :-) I'm not really tight but having paid for ancestry it's really frustrating to see that it's on another site & I'll have to pay again so I thought I'd see if anyone had credits they didn't think they'd use before they run out... well, if you don't ask you can't know...

I hadn't seen that before - on Ancestry. A bit naughty! Miles, himself comes up free on GR: Miles 1854 Norfolk Holt Isle Of Ely Wisbech St Peter Veterinary Surgeon presumably, you're after the rest of the family? Christine

Jools

Jools Report 28 May 2006 21:57

Is he the vet living in Wisbech?

Sarah

Sarah Report 28 May 2006 21:40

Please, please I'm like a dog with a bone here - I'm NOT giving up, but I need some kind person with soon-to-be-expired credits on this site to check a page for me: RG13/1555 Folio 21 page 2 Miles Baker's family with all the info that the image gives (dob, pob, res, occ etc) Before you go looking on Ancestry - DON'T! The entire piece 1555 is missing on ancestry, but it's here on the top right link on this page. Sarah :-)
