Ann - I've never tried that way before - good tip. It would appear that Pickup was spelled 3 different ways. Looks like Christine was right earlier. I put in the parents' names like you said and got; John PICOP - christened 1803 Bacup. John Snr was from Lancs. and they moved to L/pool. It only had her first name. James 1804 L/pool Thomas 1806 L/pool Mark Peacop 1808 William Tomlinson 1810 All the last 4 had her maiden name. Now I'll have to look up Picop to see where John 1 was from. Thanks everyone. J |
