Hi Lou, My good grief, that makes sense, so I if ordered Mary Anns birth cert and it shows Ellen as mother, when she married, Marys name was changed to Pascoe...... quite sad, if this is so, Ellen had another child in 1873 ( my g grandmother) who lived with her Uncle and Aunt, Ellen was also unmarried when this child was born.... I have always wondered why? Didn't want baggage maybe? Thanks so very much for all your help Lisa |

1881 census Falmouth we have Frank Pascoe (age 25) Stone mason Ellen Pascoe (age 26) We all lie about our age! Elizabeth Pascoe (age 2) 1881 there is a Mary 14 working in a hotel, which would explain her not being with the family. Do you think this could be the family |

The four year old in the 71 was called Mary Ann. From the 61 to clarify my earlier mistakes. RG9/1565 James Medlin Head age 63 coal porter Ann Medlin wifre age 57 Mary daur 22 (the one that confused me) servant Ann daur age 19 >>>>Ellen daur age 11 scholar born Budock Cornwall Street address is Fish Strand Hill,Falmouth This one could be a possiblematch for the22 year old in the 1871. Hi Glen, Sorry just having another look at 61, I know that Ellen had a baby born in 1873 out of wedlock, so thought that Ellen c1859 would be quite young????? Eeek or would she.... Lisa PS Phew Glen, I nearly had a breakdown!!!!! LOL |

I did find a possible for the 4 year old in the 1881,living with another couple and down as daughter,i have also seen the 1855 Constantine born Ellen as well. Just thinking if the original '71 result is right. The age of 22 in 1871 seems to be throwing me. Glen |

There is also another 1849 born Ellen age 22 as a servant in the in the 61 census.(is the 22 yr old servant you mentioned in the 71? it would make her born c 1859). Living with parents James and Ann. Glen |

Hi Lou, It is who ever Ellen Medlin married, in 1871 she is unmarried, living with her dad but there is a grand child age 4 there, I wondered if this was one of Ellens children as I can't find the littlie after 1871 either, Lisa |

Hi Ann Thanks for looking, my only worry with that one is that Ellen is listed as born Constantine, mind you kind of on the outskirts of Falmouth..... earlier census has her either Budock or Fal, which in effect is in the same place..... food for thought though Lisa |
