Hi Elizabeth Crowan is about 15 miles west of Falmouth, on my map.

had found a family that lived there with henry of the same age as yours but seems abit far apart.there are no other henry abrahams/abraham from cornwall area in 1851/1861 census. i will keep looking though 1851 Henry abraham 1825 crowan cornwall emma abraham 1827 crowan cornwall john abraham 1845 ' ' henry ' 1847 ' ' edwin ' 1849 ' ' emma 1850 ' ' living in crowan cornwall

A REALLY long-shot as no-one else has been able to find it BUT If you can, I would be Eternally grateful. Mark Fenton - born c 1851 - Broughton, Salford, Lancs, - Married Margaret McLoughlin in 1871 - January - just before the census. !! Can't find McLoughlin's, or Fenton's in Salford on 1871. Dea Have you got returns from 1881 on wards and i can work backwards.i have had a look and nothing so did they emigrate? If you have got returns for 1881 onwards,then my suggestion would be were they out of the country ie honeymoon ,visiting relatives etc. lizz

Thanks for looking Lizz, Yes I have Mark Fenton on ALL the other census - unfortunately by 1881 he is married to new wife - Jane, so Margaret is lost forever. I have thought of them being away on honeymoon etc., and have looked in ALL areas of the Country, even Jersey etc. - It is strange though that they should have taken both their families with them. I will just have to accept that they are all on a bit of the census where there are pages missing!! Thanks anyway, Dea x

Dea I have looked again but i am having diffculty because Mark fenton married margaret mcloughlin in march quarter of 1871 and also jane burrow in march quarter of 1871 also,not only that but 1881 census states 2 sons thomas fenton born 1868 and john born 1870 but both marriages after both births ,i can't see him being married 3 times at such a young age. do you have the marriage certificate of mark and margaret to get her age and fathers name. lizz

I believe he married in 1853 but his wife shows up as a cook in Netherbury Dorset in 1861 without him. Their daur Sarah Rebecca would be about 17 years old in 1861and she is missing too.
