Take it steady Fuzzy !!!!!!!!!! - We NOW have to prove it!! BUT - It DOES connect !! We definitely have people born in the same small area of Monmouthshire - We difinitely can link people from Monmouthshire to people in Yorkshire - We can definitely link with the name Catholina in the two areas !!!!!!!!! Therefore we KNOW they are connected. !!! I suggest you sit back and go through EVERYTHING you have an make sure it is proved. Then we can make the links forward. Please let me know all your info when you have it sorted and I would love to help. Dea x |

Dea, I cant believe all this, it is soooo exciting!! I haven't been doing this for long, just a matter of months, having said that I spend most waking hours on the bloody computer!! The info I have is on family record sheets, dont know if it will be much help to us though. The furthest back I go is Richard Lambert 1811 LLandogo monmouthshire, know think that his father is Cathalina Lambert. have details of a baptism in Llandogo for a Richard Lambert father Catherlina and mother martha. also have noted that Richard had several siblings. what worries me girls is that there could be another Richard Lambert born in Llandogo within a year or so of mine as I think that this baptism was for 1808/9 cant honestly remember will have to check and my Richard is down as 1811 on the census!!! So lovely of you both to show an interest, and your offer of help is so kind Dea, I will definately take you up on it. Son is clamouring to get back on the computer again, and bleeting on about exams so i will check in again later. Dea if you let me have my mail address at home I will send you all the details I have on the Lamberts, but as I say it isn't much kindest regards Fuzzy |

With regard to the Cathalina born in Yorkshire in 1834, who went to America..... The articles about him say he travelled with his 12 year-old brother William in 1851. His brother (William Nelson Lambert) was still with his mum and dad on the 1851 census, so I looked harder for Cathalina. Thinking back to your marriage cert for Richard, with father's name Linah.....I thought you might be interested in Cathalina in 1851 (Spelling is as on the census page!) 1851 Lina Lambert abt 1834 Goosey, Yorkshire, England Lodger Derby St Alkmund Derbyshire Merry |

Merry, you star you!! So think that Richards father must be Carthalina now! I have left shopping on floor to check tip board, i really am getting so bad!! I am bit worried that Richard Lambert baptism is listed as 1807 in the LLandogo parish records with father Carthelina and mother Martha, and on the census he is down as being born in 1811, I have checked the records though and cant find another Richard Lambert christened after 1807 in LLandogo, and from what I can gather it is a small place!! I found the marriage on the IGI of Carthalina Lambert and Martha in 1796 in LLandogo, but it doesn't give me Marthas maiden name....S**t hate it when that happens. went back to the parish records on line of Llandogo and it only has early baptisms not marriages, they are 1837 onwards, double poo!! if we sure about Richard, I will have to get in touch with the Gwent CO and ask them to do a search for me re the marriage, should be relatively straight forward seeing as I know the year..... famous last words!!! Must go and unpack the shopping, frozen food is rapidly de-frosting!! Thanks again for all this Merry, you and Dea have been awesome, have been praying for something exciting in my tree, looks like (fingers crossed) I may heve found it!! Fuzzy xx |
