Rachel, you can search the LDS site for pre-1837 births, marriages and deaths free: http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=igi/search_IGI.asp&clear_form=true The extracted records are reliable, but the ones which say they've been submitted by a member of the LDS church aren't necessarily. |

This is from the site that Mary gave you the reference for: Father: Jeremy Garfield, Mother: Martha Exact Spelling: Off Matches: All Sources - 5 International Genealogical Index - British Isles 1. ELIZABETH GARFIELD - International Genealogical Index / BI Gender: Female Christening: 04 JAN 1807 Holywell Mount Independent, Shoreditch, London, England 2. ELIZABETH GARFIELD - International Genealogical Index / BI Gender: Female Christening: 25 DEC 1808 Saint Giles Cripplegate, London, London, England 3. WILLIAM THOMAS GARFIELD - International Genealogical Index / BI Gender: Male Christening: 14 NOV 1813 St Giles Cripplegate, London, London, England 4. MARY ANN GARFIELD - International Genealogical Index / BI Gender: Female Christening: 25 DEC 1808 Saint Giles Cripplegate, London, London, England 5. DIANA ANTHOY GARFIELD - International Genealogical Index / BI Gender: Female Christening: 14 JUL 1811 Saint Giles Cripplegate, London, London, England It might be worth asking if anyone can check Pallot's index for the marriage of Charles Kay to Elizabeth Garfield. This may have taken place in St Giles Cripplegate, or another of the London parishes. |
