hiya bill, no problem, just bugging me now as to how hard this family is to find, oh, BTW dont know if i mentioned it before, but looked for births 1838/39 for edwin and couldnt find anything at all, praps he wasnt reg'd, just baptised/christened, I know it doesnt help much but i thought i'd mention it Julie

Hi Julie I will try the LDS site. I did see the other wade family and thought it must be a relation. Looked at it again and feel you are possibly correct. he would have been the eldest son and named after his dad, as they did in those days. His age is right for a son and he is 3 years older than James, the second son.It is interesting that John senior and John junior are both SMITHS, and from Lambeth, and their respective spouse were from Poplar and Holborn. I am going to search for John junior's birth and see what we come up with. Thanks for you help. Bill

hiya bill, did have a look for 1841 census for family, but couldnt find anything, that looked remotely like your wades, cant even find an 'ever' IN chelmsford, praps need to be looking for childrens births, after 1837, to confirm Dina/diana name??? Julie

Hi Julie Looks interesting!!. John was born in Ever, Chelmsford Essex, but lived in Lambeth. His wife was shown as Dina in 1851 Census, but I am sure it must have been Diana. Emma is not shown on the 1851 Census as part of the family, but if she was born about 1822, she would have been about 29. So was probably married. I could not find any marriage details for her. What is the Harris site? Bill

Having had no joy in finding Henry Wade, having been searching the Hoxton area, I noticed that the Henry I was after was born in Lambeth. So I did a search and now think I am close. I do not know how to transfer the census details onto here, but the Henry Wade I am now pursuing was born in 1861 at Christ Church Surrey and was the son of Edwin, born lambeth in 1838 and Catherine Wade, born 1840 in Bristol. Edwin was the son of John Wade (appears as Johan in census), born 1806 at Ever, Chelmsford in 1806. he was married to Dina ???, born 1808. I have not been able to find any marriage certificate details for any of the above. I am not ordering any birth Certs at the minute because the cenus's appear to give all the details of parentage. Any help wouild be appreciated Bill

Julie The Bliss family is the correct one. However, the coincidence of a Wade family in close proximity is interesting, especially as the christian names are similar to the children of the henry Wade we are seeking. His children were, Catherine (b.1886),Alice (b.1896). Also the witness at my Granfparents wedding was mabel Swailes, and her census page shows an Emma Wade living next door. This Emma would have been born around 1835. There do seem to be a lot of coincidences, but we still cannot find Henry b 1860. Regards, Bill

Bill, i am at a loss as to what to suggest next, unless they didnt marry at all, or they married somewhere else scotland perhaps, (just clutching at straws here), or they did marry but isnt in index for some reason, the only other things i can think of is too look in P/R's of brides district, and see if there is a marriage there, or have a check on familyrelatives site to see if its on there.
