Kate and lyndsey, Thanks for your support, it means alot to me. Fuzzy x

By the way, I understand the title of this thread - it doesn't mean that she had another thread called 'Imagine' but that she had another one with a musical title, which is further down this board, 'What a difference a day makes'. Goodnight! Kate.

I have no idea what on earth is going on here, but it does appear that it may be somebody stirring up trouble. Fuzzy, there was absolutely nothing wrong with your posting. I would have phrased it the same way. So don't worry! Kate.

OC Only knowing the Margaret Steer I know from the boards I think she would happily come forward and confirm her posting or disown it. But then how would we know it was the real Margaret?????? Chris<<<<In a concundrum??? LOL

Reggie I wish I could.... I have had no 'direct' contact with the Maureen I know from reading the boards so can't check the membership number with the one now posting. Maybe others reading this will have???? Chris

ErikaH Report 28 Jul 2006 22:35

Chris......... It's easily solved........just check the membership number of this poster against that of the one you 'know'. Reg

Well, in that case, perhaps the real Margaret would care to step forward and post to this thread? OC

I have a problem with this thread... I have been here for three years and seen many messages/replies from Margaret Steer. NONE of which have been in the same tone to which 'she' has replied tonight......And what is the thread 'Imagine' ??? There is none apart from this one which shows in the search box. I think we may have a 'stirrer' working on this board, assuming Margaret's identity. I know General have recurring problems with 'Identity Theft' I hope it hasn't moved onto Tips :((( Chris

Good heavens! I don';t believe all this! Fuzzy - take no notice. I cannot IMAGINE what provoked Ms Steer's response to your helpful remarks - which were exactly what I would have said if I had got to the thread before you did. And yes, my ancestors were a load of liars too and looked the Registrar straight in the eye when they told the most enormous stories. This does not mean I think you are liar, Fuzzy, just in case you misinterpret my posting! (Isnt there already enough trouble in the world without looking for more, especially where none was intended) OC OC

Thanks Reggie, I appreciate your reply and I will indeed 'avoid' people, would love to carry on helping people as it makes me feel part of this big and happy community. after all we are all in the same boat, and it is nice to know that we can lean on each other. Fuzzy xx

Don't let it put you off, Fuzzy.........just be selective. I have to say that I understood your responses - the wording was clear, and, as far as I could tell, inoffensive............ Reg

Hey Snowdrops, Thanks sweetie, I really appreciate that, must admit it has put me off a bit, but most people are so lovely I am sure it wont put me off for long. Fuzzy xx

Hi Reg, It would never have happened if she had read my second message, when I gave her the example of mothers being deceptful to the registrars. Whole experience has put me off of helping people! Fuzzy x

ErikaH Report 28 Jul 2006 21:51

If the poster had used the impersonal pronoun 'one' the rest of this thread would not have happened. It was the use of the personal pronoun 'I' which precipitated the rancour. Reg

its an example of how language on the internet without the tone, expression, and stress on words added can make some sentences sound or read totally different....unfortunate aspect of this mode of communication with all its colloquialisms.

Hi ego, You right, but if the second message had been read and digested.......only trying to help.......never again!!! Fuzzy x
