It's still the flaming same today....over two days now. I think OC's right...if they take them flashing SKY and NTL adverts off, it might run a bit quicker. It's getting me stressed........going for some retail therapy. Jean

GR are obviousy having to save up to repay me the £2.45 I'm asking them to return. If anyone else has had problems with GR taking extra money from their cards without their consent, please PM - before I'm banned! Heather

I must say I didn't realise ITV was in charge now - where do I complain and to whom? It's extremely slow this morning and I already feel guilty about the time I spend at my pc !! Eileen

Margaret GR do not care a fig what rubbish is posted on this Site - 55750 names being regularly reloaded must make them sweat with glee. I doubt if a single name on it has been verified - if it has, I'd like to know how, cos its taken me nearly 40 years to verify just 403 people. And thousands of pounds - darent work it out. OC

Has anyone else noticed the lavish new Friends advert down the right hand side of the page? Maybe if they took off all these flashing dashing adverts the site would be quicker. And yes, why CANT they post telling us WHY there is a Traffic Jam? Is it anything to do with the 'Bad URL' message I keep getting? Have they been tinkering again? Or is it that blokey reloading his genes tree with 55,750 names again, do you think? OC

If I wanted to visit FR site then I would have renewed my membership a year ago. It would only take 2 mins for the GR team to post a thread on the boards saying there is a problem with the site. GR should start thinking about their members otherwise there will be a mass exodus. Maureen

Thi site is slow and there are still problems with out tree's. I did not know that ITV had taken over. Watch out because I saw something on MSN the other day that ITV have got money problems. They are not getting profits like they were and television is going to suffer SO WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO THIS SITE. I can see our membership price going up and I am afraid if that happens it will be goodbye from me. It is a good site if it is managed right and I have often recommended it and I have had some success on it but it needs looking after and some things sorting out. Christine

They let people join the site without paying anything and then say, ''sorry we are busy'' to the paying members who might like to post here!! There seems an obvious solution............................. Merry

I think this slowness is a con trying to get more money out of us. I have just had an apoligy saying, sorry for the site being so slow it is due to the heavy traffic. They go on to suggest useing their sister sites Ancestry or Friends Reunited. What a CON.

I'm fed up with this site as well. WHy don't they spend money on sorting out this site before advertising it. If people come on here to join there not setting a good example by what is happening at the moment. It took me an hour tonight to get connected it's such a pain. Jen

Tell me, how do I complain when whenever I click on 'contact us' the site is so slow, all I get is ' this page cannot be displayed'

Its a nightmare, had to reboot came back and tried to log on and kept getting oh no traffic jam message took me forever to get on here. Then I could get onto message boards cause of same message then took me forever to post a message lol Your right, we pay our money and ITV do get millions of pounds profit they can surely afford to pay for a better a better site that isn't so darn slow. I have just logged on after being out all afternoon, and while this site was loading, I saw TWO advert on ITV, adverting Genes Reunited, so they have money to spend on adverts, but not the site..hmmm......and I think it will get worse, if more people start logging on, just to see what the site is all about,.... because..... lol.....not everyone has heard about US.......lol....Lilly ps wonder how long this reply will take to get sent

This site is getting worse you would think they were running it on dialup snails go faster.

I thought it was my computer so I have spent all afternoon cleaning it up and defragmenting.......still the same, soooooo slow.....still it did need it. Trudi
