Greeting’s Again. …… Ken O’ NZ. I think you will find it better if you go to the Records Office in Wigston. Seeing you need to look at three Parishes. Having said that I see you are due over here in September ? This is the time that the Records Office closes for stock taking usually the 1st week & reopens 2nd week. But I’ll check both for availability of records & dates of the stock take for this year…….. and get back to you A.S.A.P. MIKE. |

Hi Mike I will be in Leicester in late September 2007 and would like to spend a couple of days hunting for records of my Timson relations. They originated in Higham on the Hill (1700's) moved to Burbage then to Leicester (mid 1840's), have you any idea of where the parish records are likely to be? hi mike richard barsby born 1788 hungerton parents john barsby and mary im trying to find out more about this john barsby i cant seem to tie him down to mary i know you found a marriage john barsby mary chambers 6th sept 1779 but how can i be sure if this is richards parents if you get what i mean it seems to be right in the years so to speak could john have married another mary around the same time to a different mary its seems like he married at around 40 years old could you checkout the birth of richard again and see if you can find his mothers maiden name for me on his birth at the records office many thanks sarah |
