Inspired by everyone here I too have just joined Tribal Pages and agree with everyone else it's brill! Just one question - how do you get your 'matches', are they sent automatically to own email or is there a place on Tribal pages for them OR do you have to look for matches yourself? You never know - one of my brick walls might come tumbling down with Tribal pages help! Sue |

Granny Lynne Searched without any problem just now - I think it was a glitch last night, because when I closed down my computer, the results of my search had appeared! Or maybe I just didnt wait long enough for the page to load - I am used to that site being very fast. OC |

Hi Dreekie Yes, you can upload a gedcom file and then edit. Just to let you know tho, normally takes about 2 business days for an uploaded file to be available for edit. The other thing is when 1st uploaded just double check information as occassionally does get a bit scrambled. I find it a great site. Especially for sharing research with my family - this is reason for 1 locked site. Did primarily for myself & sisters & our children so they had 1 spot could go to get a complete history of our family. Sue |

Hi All I have had a paid Tribalpages site for around 3 years and am very happy with it. I love the fact that you can remove people very easily if something goes wrong (I Stuff up), on genes at the moment I have a relative that married himself and a cousin that is his own grandfather and can not change them. The ability to have upto 1000 photos and heaps of notes is great, the layout of each family group the best I have come accross. Fully recommend it ! Ken |

Granny Lynne Just tried a search from my own site - the page freezes! Hopefully this is a temporary thing - I will try tomorrow. I did a successful search earlier today, by the way. OC |

Have never used 'source', don't seem to have success with it. Normally input sources in the 'notes' section. Have had my tree on Tribal Pages for about 3 years now - paid membership and never regret it. Keep main tree password protected as have living family on it. Do also run 2 'free' trees that are not protected - no living relatives on it. Makes easier for others to check and verify relationships. Personally, prefer g/r for research and tribal pages for storing tree. Like fact can run multiple photo albums on tribal - so have many on there for all to see. |

OC Thanks for the advice. I did exactly what you said, put a name in and nothing happened. At the bottom left where it usually says 'Done', it said 'Error on Page' and a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark. Am I doing something wrong? Lynne |

Finaly got round to uploading gedcom into tribalpages. Love it only after 1/2 hour. I had a problem on GR tree with my grandmother (2) I wanted to delete the mistake but it would let me. Just deleted the mistake on tribalpages(*)com no problem. Dreekie |
