Hi Jess So sad that you are leaving us. You have helped me in the past and guided myself and my daughter when we first started tracing our family tree together under her name. Thank you for that. I know you will be sorely missed by one and all. I love reading your messages and threads......what a mine of information you are! A Happy New Year to you and 'may your God go with you'! Hi Jess, shame you won't be renewing your membership, you were one of the first people to pm me, when I was trying to search for my 2 Adopted halfBrothers, I'm sure you will be missed by a lot of people, especially Adopted people who need advice from someone who knows what they themselves are going through. I have had a lot to take on board this year, with not just 1 but 3 halfBrothers to find and have had a very emotional year and I know sometimes we didn't see eye to eye!!! The other side appears to be a secret society, only by invitation I am led to believe, so how does their searchable database grow, if they have one? It even got a mention by a family history magazine, as they could not comment on it because they could not get in! :) ps Jess - Good Luck!

The site isn't a secret but it is invitation only at the moment because we want to avoid the problems that beset GR. The database grows as the membership grows. All members have invitations and they invite their friends. We hope to open it to all eventually but want to put a few more safeguards in place first. I dont post on the site very often but Jess I have always read your postings and advice with interest and enjoyment - many thanks, As has been said by all those before me you will be sadly missed, also your 'name' always amused me, I often wondered how it originated. Anyway, so sad to see you go, All the best to you for the New Year and to all GR members.

Sorry to see you go Jess after all the help and consideration you have given to GR members. As a result of all the nastiness I find that I rarely come on this site now and as my subscription is due for renewal don't know if I want to renew it.

Hi Jess So sorry to hear that you are leaving this site (but can quite understand why !!!) Thanks for your help and I am sure that a lot of peeps are going to miss you - but the other site will be all the much richer with your expertise, kindness and help. I have been with the site for about 4 years and have experienced the decline and will not be re-newing next May when my subs. run out. All the best for 2007. Pauline

I too have been a member on here for about 3 years .. and you and a few of the others were the ones who kept me going when things were tough..and got me through quite a few brick walls.. I also feel that this site has lost its sparkle and just has not been the same since all the troubles..... This used to be a site of Fun.. Help and Understanding.. Hi Jess, You first helped me over three years ago when I started my family tree on GC. Although I have not posted much over the last year, it was always a pleasure and a help to read your messages. Jess - tis such a shame you will not be renewing, though i can understand your reasons! You've been a great help to sooooo many people on here. It's awful that the much valued members on here are those that have been treated badly/ will not be renewing. You've always been kind, considerate, helpful and I'll be sorry to see you go.
