Member Since: April 2004 Posts: 5 Send Message	Does anyone have any idea how I can trace my grandfather? All I know is that the above was his name. He worked in Whitehaven during the war, met my grandmother, Francis Birkett born in 1915 in Whitehaven, had an affair with her and the product was my father, Norman Birkett - born on 30/06/1941. He left Francis and went back to his wife and family in Wallsend, Tyne and Wear. My dad never knew him and his mother died when he was 2 from pneumonia. I'd like to trace that side of my unknown grandfather - doing my family tree. Any help/advice appreciated.
