Well she .....'assumed' someone did ...and thats the problem....but how did they bury him if no-one registered the death |

we know he died in the hospital coz his daughter was there ...she registered her mum death ...but not her fathers !! she is still alive and is wanting the copy of the death cert Can they bury without the death certificate? Headstone says he was 63 but we have checked 5 years each way And it is Fred on all other certificates |

If you don't have his death cert, how can you know he died in Lincoln Hospital? If you are going purely on family memory, then they can often be wrong. OC |

Likely reasons are his death was not registered in the name Fred Taylor. Likely he was known as Fred but maybe it was Alfred/ Frederick or Jack. What is the date of death on the headstone. Maybe the headstone has the wrong year of death. It DOES Happen. Sue |

I had trouble finding one of my nan's brothers who died as a child - I found out that he was known by his middle name. It wasn't Percy at all but Joseph Percy (the Joseph was named after his father) |

I have a friend trying to find the death of her grandad...Born1907 got index numbers. Married 1932 to Mary Boulton, she died.,,he married Shirley Brown 1966 in Spilsby. she left him months later. He died in 1971 in Lincoln Hospital...We have been looking for a some time for a death reg....IF its not registered could you tell me why?..we have a head stone. His name is FRED TAYLOR |
