FMP has address search facility on censuses, but, obviously that stops at 1841

And I would doubt that it had that address in the 16th century, so you’d need to pinpoint it on old maps

ADDED

Earliest numbering of houses on FMP is 1851

The DEEDS are most the obvious source of info

Dolphin Street is one of the very old narrow streets leading from the seafront. These roads, full of old houses, are the original area of Deal.
Jinks’s link does actually pinpoint the street and its houses.

I think Alan would be very lucky to find deeds going back to the 16th century. There is a flourishing history group in Deal which is why I listed local history groups.

Names ( ex Deal resident)

Added: thinking about the age of properties in old Deal I took a look at the Britishlisted buildings website, which says the building is late 17c to early 18c.
It is the castle which is 16th century.

Re Dutch gables:

Gable with sides of large multiple curves and topped with a pediment. This style is common throughout Kent (around 180 buildings) and has been linked to the arrival of protestant immigrants from the then catholic Spanish Netherlands in the 16th and 17th centuries. Many of the local examples clearly post-date this period, and no doubt reflect stylistic preference more than direct foreign influence.

All sorts of stuff available by Googling.

I often tell my FH group that Google is a friend - amazing things can be found.
