I have found a marriage for William Speight and Rose Hannah Green in Sheffield in 1919. How would I go back for William Speight to find his birth please

His marriage certiifcate would give you his fathers name which might help as William speight seems to be quite common in Yorkshire.

If DOB correct in 1939, the 3 possible births for William (2nd one most likely as RD covers part of Sheffield) There are William Speight's in Preston and Gateshead in 1939 with birthdates which appear to fit the other registrations
