I have been trying to find this lady in the 1921 census to no avail, she died in 1922 in November she died 11 Bruce Grove Tottenham Age 43, the informant was her mother Eliza Dunham 3 Crosby Terrace Long Lane East Finchley, she had two children one aged 8 and one aged 11(I think the children would not be on the census.) If anybody could give me an idea for what I should be looking for, I am willing to pay for the recordThanks Sheila

The children should be on the census - no reason for them not to be. What were their names?

Where was Florence born?

Yes I tried the address but not individual houses, children were Marjorie May Adams 1910 and Kenneth Adams born 1913 Florence never got married. She was born in Tottenham

In 1911, Florence was calling herself ‘Adams’

Yes I knew that but I have checked for Adams and Dunham on the 1921 census and it shows a Marjorie May Adams on the 1911 census

1921 search result - could Florence be with her Mother. A search gives Eliza Dunham in Finchley plus 2 first names only and 4 "others" at the same address

She's Florrie/Florry in 1881, 1891, and 1901.

Just wondering, if she died young- ish, whether she might have been in hospital or an institution and recorded only under initials, if they still did that on 1921 census.

Both Marjorie and Kenneth's births were registered as Adams with mmn Dunham

Looking at Greyghost's post above re possible 1921 for Eliza Dunham -

By 1901 Florrie had siblings Albert E 20, James 18, Gilbert 16, Elsie 14, Violet 13, Charles 12, Sidney 11, Edgar 5, and Doris 2.

No sign of a Thomas or Ethel, even after 1901.

If listed with initials only, this is the only one which might fit:

But still, Marjorie and Kenneth should be somewhere.

Could have a gaggle of grandchildren with her or in laws ;-)

Florence could be living with someone else by 1921 if William had died in which case Florence and the children could be shown under his surname.

The people with Eliza in 1921 are:

Ethel 1894, Sidney 1911, Thomas 1888 (called Charles in 1901 census), James 1852, Maisie 1920 , Elsie 1912.

All with surname Dunham.
