I m looking to find the parents of James Entwistle 1815. He was married to Hannah Warburton 1809-1890 and had a son also James born in 1847. |

You don't say where they were. |

There are quite a few baptisms for the name James Entwistle in Lancashire so it's difficult to know which is the correct one. |

They are from the Bury area and I am sure the first one is them but dont think the second can be as the ages aren't right. |

The ages on the second census (1841) posted by ArgyllGran were rounded down to the nearest five years so they would be the same couple. |

I don't see any births of Entwistle/Warburton children in Bury. (Nor variation of spelling.) |

Thanks ErikaH. Ihad originally added the 1815 biirth to Susannah Entwistle to the tree but then wondered if I was wrong but looking at the suggestions made, I think that this is the most likely one. I don't thihk the Isherwood connection is right but will at have a look again at the info I have got and get back to you. Thanks for your help everyone and you advice. |

Weighing all the info up it seems as if it could be either as there is no definitive proof pointing to one or the other. There were a lot of Entwistles around in Lancashire at that time. In this case it makes my initial request null and void as I may have the wrong strand anyway. Frustrating but thanks to all of you for your input. |

After looking again and weighing it all up I am still leaning towards James being married to Amelia Airey and his parents being James and Hannah. It isn't definitive is it though so would probably be best not to add either. |

Seeing as Argyll gran' s posts suggest it was just as likely that he was married to Anne Isherwood I fail to see how you can be so certain. I may be missing the point here but as I am doing the tree for someone else I want to be certain the information is correct and I don't like being spoken to in that patronising manner. We think that it was James 1847 who married Amelia Airey. |

You have actually confirmed what I just said. I repeatedly thanked everyone for helping me and I find your reaction childish. Whatever you choose to do is your decision but once again I will say thanks for all help and suggestions which I have taken on board. |
