My grandfather Leslie MATTHEWS b.1918 Welford on Avon
d. 1991 Enfield
He left my grandmother in the early 1960s, but i would love to know where he was living and any info between the years above......
I really am at a loss as where to start, any help would be great.

Electoral Rolls are the answer, but as you don’t know when he moved to Enfield/London it will be difficult.
Try Ancestry for the ER, Ithink FMP may also added a lot of them.

Also unfortunately, Leslie Matthews is not a very unusual name.
What was your grandmother's name?
What was his address on his death cert?
Without knowing your grandmother's name, there was this couple in Enfield in 1958. I know that's earlier than you want but if this is the right couple, it might possibly be a clue to address:

her name was Patricia and when he died he was living at Alma Road, Ponders End

Interesting -
well, that first example I posted was for Alma Road, and the second one includes a Patricia.
However, the London ERs on Ancestry only go up to 1965.
You'll probably have to refer to ERs for Enfield - possibly still held locally at an Enfield library - or they could advise you on where to go.

That will be the current ER they're talking about, but they'd be able to tell you where to see historic ERs.

The ones I found were on Ancestry - but as I said, they only go up to 1965 on Ancestry.
