i have now deleted my original post but as i say marks half brother was born to lavender barber in the bahamas he has vague details he was adopted by an american couple from florida marks mother died some years later and is buried in portugal-stephen marden

Why did you delete the info people took the trouble to find for you?

The records you deleted related to Lavender (Elsie E Lavender J Barber) rather than to the half brother - but might have given someone a clue, you never know.

In case it helps anyone, from those records it looked as if the brother woud have been born in the first half of the 1950's. (1952-1955, perhaps)
However, there is no record of his birth online - at least on Ancestry.

Advise Mark to put his tree on GR...............that's the only hope of any connection coming to light.
