Firstly, good morning one and all. I hope that you are keeping well and staying safe. It's still early days. Yes, I'm back on GR having had to leave for a short while due to finances. Anyhow I now have a new Query although I did sometime ago post a message about Hugo Josef Fleischmann on his own. I have also posted this message on Ancestry so if anything comes back from there then I will update this board.

Good morning, I am looking for some ancestors who either went to live in Buenos Aires and probably had family born there. I've not found a way to research this for myself from England. Perhaps there is a way other than posting this message on a Board?

Firstly I have a Great Grand Aunt Adele Hubertine Fleischmann nee Noel born in England on 26 October 1894. She married a Hugo Josef Fleischmann in England on 3 January 1915 . Adele gave birth to a daughter in England on 13 March 1916. Her given name was Adele Anna Fleischmann she sadly passed away on 12 September 1982 in Buenos Aires. She had married a Luis Cech. Please note that Fleischmann could be spelt with one N only.

On 5 October 1916 Adele Hubertine and her daughter Adele Anna Fleischmann board a ship for Vigo Spain. There is no sign of Hugo.

I have no idea what has happened to Adele Hubertine Fleischmann nee Noel or her husband Hugo. I only estimate Hugo as being born in 1889 from his age given on their marriage certificate. I have no idea where he was born either.

Anyhow, Adele Anna Fleischmann ends up in Buenos Aires, not sure how and/or when. She marries a Luis Cech (not sure if this is the correct spelling). Don't know when they marry but they have a son Enrique Carlos Cech who was born in Buenos Aires on 24 July 1943, sadly he passed away on 23 April 2020 in Buenos Aires. It is understood that he had siblings. Is anyone able to assist please with any findings on the above please.

For clarification re Adele - you say:

but also:

Is one of these statements incorrect?

Hiya, thank you for your response. The Adele that passed away in 1982 was Adele Hubertine Fleischmann nee Noel's daughter Adele Anna. Sorry I will just correct this if I'm able.

On your tree on Ancestry, you say that Adele was in Berlin 1974-5, and show an entry for an Adele Fleischmann in the German telephone directory as proof.

Do you know if this is definitely your Adele?

Sorry but I did add that but am not 100% sure that it is one in the same Adele Hubertine Fleischmann nee Noel.

Did Hugo name a father when he married?

Hugo's father is named as Cyrill Fleishmann, railway station master.

(There's a scan of the cert on Kathryn's Ancestry tree.)

But I don't see any other record of Cyrill.

Hugo's address at marriage was 17 Elgin Avenue (presumably Paddington).

The 1900 City Directory record posted by Maddie can't be right.

Hugo was a mechanical engineer at marriage in 1915.
