Try the German ancestry group on Facebook

A member on there found my German grandfathers family and his correct name and place of birth
He had anglicised his surname and used on one of his Christian names on his marriage to gran and on our dads birth certificate

I did know his German surname and a little bit of census records when he was single pre 1901

Researching:
Surname Fahse. Germany. Essex .South East London My avatar is one of our wedding photos of 1957

Researching German ancestors isn't easy. There are no census records, and to find births/deaths/marriages you really need to know where in Germany the event happened.

There are a few records on Ancestry and other sites, but mostly they are on German sites.

Researching:
Old genealogists never die.....they just lose their census.

Are you hoping for someone to do all the research?

Or simply to produce a print of the info you have?

Is there anyway I can find somebody to draw up a family tree for my partner, who has German ancestry, as a surprise gift?

I have only his, his mother's and his grandfather's name, with dates and places of birth.
