FMP has "Teachers Registration Council Registers" but only from 1914-1948, maybe that's what the someone was thinking of, but wasn't sure of dates covered. |

She was certainly a teacher - but no proof of her being a head teacher, as far as censuses are concerned. |

Women were not allowed to continue teaching after they married. This carried on until well into the twentieth century. I wouldn't have thought she'd have had time to rise to the ranks of headteacher before then. |
