Have you tried freebmd or even the Cornwall OPC (online parish clerk) - it is an excellent website. Or you could buy some credits on here. Many libraries are also offering free home access to Ancestry Library edition.

Only guessing but as Sue is in South Africa I would think it probably either her ggg grandfather Charles or one of his descendants.

Which of them went to South Afica - and when?

In the 1841 census the transcription has mixed up two households.

John and Anne only have sons John and Fortescue and daughter Mary L. with them.

The next household is probably Anne's family (the Francis family). The may be living at the same address but they are a separate household.
